About Us
We fell in love, then discovered we made pretty good music together too.
Married. Musicians. Since 2014.
We swiped right on Tinder in 2014 and fell fast, but it wasn't until a few months in that we realized our music was just as good a match. Both raised in musical families, we'd each spent years chasing this dream on our own. Together, something clicked—the support, the drive, and the spark all finally made sense.
Since then, we've built a life around music, performing solo and as a duo across the Twin Cities and the Midwest. Acoustic guitar, real vocals, songs spanning nine decades, and a few originals along the way. We love flipping expectations: yes, you can do Lizzo, Nelly, and Metallica with just a guitar and a voice. We also love stripping it all the way back for the classics.
Outside of music, Matt works as a paraprofessional in the public school system, and Laurel works in events and marketing. Different jobs, but a lot of the same heart: connecting with people, creating experiences, and bringing people together.
And because we're married, our shows come with a little extra chaos and a lot of laughs. Being husband and wife gives us plenty of material.
These days we're not just a couple and a duo—we're a family. Our daughter Scarlett has brought a whole new kind of joy (and chaos) into our lives, and into our music too.
At the end of the day, we're not just here to play songs. We want you to feel something—a memory, a connection, a moment you’ll carry with you. Because feeling more leads to understanding more. Understanding more builds empathy. And empathy is what connects us all.
Thanks for stopping by. We can't wait to play for you.
